1 year ago this past Friday we got our first egg of the year
I wanted to check yesterday morning but was running late and it was 22°.
so I checked today.
the egg door was frozen shut
(a sign of how cold and wet it’s been)
today there WAS an egg out there, although it froze and cracked
Our First Egg of 2023!!
and I’m taking 20# chicken feed to the shed so I’ll rest up later.. upstairs from the front door.. and downstairs to the backyard

we had our first snake in the yard today.. we put all the dogs away, then shoo'd him through the chain link.. I was not concerned because "he's" not dangerous.. VERY pretty though. ugh, I hate meat bees

I know an old lady.. who's 4 years old!!

how did she get to be so old? I remember when she was 1... 6 months of fun, when all said and done..  I remember when she was 2... already a mom, but we made it through... I remember when she was 3...  so ball-obsessed, but we let her be..  and now she's 4 🎵𝅘𝅥𝅮   is this the little girl I carried is this the little girl at play? I don't remember growing older?  when did they?  when did she get to be a beauty?  when did she grow to be so tall?  wasn't it yesterday when she was small?
