as the egg-laying continues..

one of our chickens started laying for the year on January 22nd..
laying haphazardly for a total of 7 eggs by February 4th.
then she started again Saturday with another egg this morning.. 
we're expecting snow tomorrow, so I have this feeling that she's going to stop - again.. 

NONE of the other chickens have laid anything..
7 chickens and we still need to eat store-bought eggs

we have a new layer for the year!!

we had our first snake in the yard today.. we put all the dogs away, then shoo'd him through the chain link.. I was not concerned because "he's" not dangerous.. VERY pretty though. ugh, I hate meat bees

I know an old lady.. who's 4 years old!!

how did she get to be so old? I remember when she was 1... 6 months of fun, when all said and done..  I remember when she was 2... already a mom, but we made it through... I remember when she was 3...  so ball-obsessed, but we let her be..  and now she's 4 🎵𝅘𝅥𝅮   is this the little girl I carried is this the little girl at play? I don't remember growing older?  when did they?  when did she get to be a beauty?  when did she grow to be so tall?  wasn't it yesterday when she was small?
