today is a very sad day

I know she was just a chicken..
and I know she is not the first chicken we've lost..
nor will she be the last..  
but she was unlike any other chicken I've known..
such personality and 💖


she was hobbling around this morning when I left for work..
when I came home at lunch, she was curled up in her usual hiding spot ("hiding" in the shade)
she had already passed sometime during the morning. 
I don't know when, and I don't know why. 


she had a rough start when she came to the vet..
I tried to give her the best life. 
I hope I didn't fail her. 😢💔

we had our first snake in the yard today.. we put all the dogs away, then shoo'd him through the chain link.. I was not concerned because "he's" not dangerous.. VERY pretty though. I know an old lady.. who's 4 years old!!

how did she get to be so old? I remember when she was 1... 6 months of fun, when all said and done..  I remember when she was 2... already a mom, but we made it through... I remember when she was 3...  so ball-obsessed, but we let her be..  and now she's 4 🎵𝅘𝅥𝅮   is this the little girl I carried is this the little girl at play? I don't remember growing older?  when did they?  when did she get to be a beauty?  when did she grow to be so tall?  wasn't it yesterday when she was small?
