this sweet old girl had a very rough start to her weekend

last Monday was her 17 year 5 month day..

I worked almost all week long..
6 hours last Saturday and Sunday
7 hours Tuesday
6.5 hours Wednesday
8 hours Thursday
9 hours Friday 

Friday - those 9 hours are the key.

I left at 7:45 that morning. 
Ronnie got home 4:45 that afternoon..

so Nona and Dude were alone for 9 hours

Dude was very distraught when Ronnie got home, barking frantically - 
he did not meet him at the back door.
he did not meet him at the gate.

Nona had slipped on the stairs and gotten her head caught in the railing
she was non-responsive when Ronnie found her. 

jump ahead 45 minutes later when I got home..
he had gotten her up and breathing and walking.

she is totally fine..
no injuiries
no permanent damage

who knows when it happened? or how long Dude was barking? 

she is his WHOLE world
they are bestest buddies
he was her "Lassie"
